Our #BrainTraining Live series on our Instagram (@walkandtalk4men) continues on Wednesday, 9th June at 7pm, where James will be talking to our very own bro Alex MacGregor.
Alex is a writer and blogger by trade, having had a consistent writing career since he was 16 years old, writing for the music website UKMix for five years, before moving onto write for numerous other magazines and websites, interviewing major names from the world of music and entertainment along the way. For two years he was a regular career advice columnist with the job board site CV Library, and his own blog (https://alexscsb.com), which has been running since 2014, has a dedicated and loyal readership, and was featured as one of the top 10 best Essex blogs to follow on social media by Essex Chronicle in 2018.
Passionate about mental health from his own experiences, and helping other men speak about theirs, Alex has been with Walk&Talk4Men right from our very first walk event, and now not only looks after our social media accounts and website, he leads his own walks in Great Notley Country Park near where he lives, and he has also repped us for different events with Mind, Movember and Grassroots Suicide Prevention, and along with James he represented us at the annual conference event for the Livewell Campaign run by Braintree District Council in November 2019, where he spoke about his involvement with the group.
He's hosting his first walk event in over a year at the end of the month, so we'll be talking about that a bit, what he does to stay mentally well, and also the importance of his own blog and writing being a positive space online for himself and for others, and how he maintains a healthy relationship with social media for mental wellbeing. If you've got any questions you want to ask Alex about what we'll be discussing, please get them into us - message us on our socials with the hashtag #BrainTrainingLive or email us email@example.com.
