New walk event: Three Sisters Nature Reserve, Ashton-in-Makerfield - Saturday 26th February, 9:45am

Jan. 30, 2022, 10:35 a.m.

Hello all, it's Ian here!

Just popping on to let you know that our Ashton-in-Makerfield walk at Three Sisters Nature Reserve is back again next month on Saturday 26th February at 9:45am.

Our meeting point for your Sat Navs will be Three Sisters Road, WN4 8DD.

The road is on a bend in an industrial estate. A big sign saying the hamlet is at the start of Three Sisters Road. Go down to the bottom and turn right, the first car park has plenty of parking. We'll meet at 9:45am and aim to start on the walk about 10am.

I've done the walk with the dog. It's a bit muddy so suitable footwear is needed. Some of the walk is also uphill, so maybe a little bit of a challenge if you struggle with asthma, as I do. I did the walk in 40 mins just ambling along with my dog.

Unfortunately, I've had word from The Nest, the cafe on the route where we usually stop off that they'll be closed on that day. However, the Race Circuit nearby has a cafe which will be open as it's free on a Saturday, so all are welcome to join us for refreshments there if they so wish.

All gents welcome for some good exercise, supportive ears and a safe environment to talk about whatever is on your mind. Look forward to seeing you on 26th!

All the best,

Ian Gibson (W&T4M Walk Leader, Ashton-in-Makerfield)
