UPDATE: 9th August 2022
Good morning everyone,
Owing to the forecast Amber Warning for a Heatwave from the Met Office for Sunday 14th August, we have taken the decision to put this month's Witham walk forward a week to Sunday 21st August.
This is to ensure the safety of both our walk leaders and all who wish to attend. It will still start at the same time (11am) and place (Witham Town Hall, Newland Street) as usual.
Any questions, do please ask - look forward to seeing you all on the new date a week on Sunday. Please stay safe and hydrated in the meantime.
Hi all, Alex checking in here!
We are pleased to let you know that myself and Lee will be back again in Witham next month for another River Walk for our gents and bros, this time on Sunday 21st August, starting from outside the Town Hall in Newland Street at 11am.
The walk's quite a steady gentle one, roughly 2-3k, and we will finish up at the Valero Lounge in Newland Street just along from the Town Hall where all are welcome to join us for refreshments afterwards.
All men and those who identify as men are welcome to join this monthly walk event to talk in a safe supportive environment about anything that's on your mind or any struggles you may be having with your mental health, or even just to be listening ears for someone who might need it. All whilst getting some gentle exercise and fresh air!
As the Bank Holiday is at the end of August, this will be our only Essex walk for next month, so if you can make it down to us we'd love to have you along! Please share with the bros in your life - we look forward to seeing you on 21st August!
Take care and all the best,
Alex MacGregor (W&T4M Walk Leader, Braintree and Witham / Web and Content Executive)
