As our group is all about bros talking to other bros and supporting one another, we fully support Time to Change's annual 'Time To Talk Day', which is happening again today.
It may seem like there's a national day for everything these days, but the importance of days like this and groups like ours show how vital it is in helping to change the conversation around mental well-being.
Because the statistics show that it's needed more than ever: every week, 84 men in the UK take their own lives - that's twelve per day, or one every hour - all because they feel like they've got to 'man up' and bottle in what they're feeling.
We need it so that men can join groups like ours and feel like they have someone to turn to, rather than to feel alone or not needed. We need it so that zero men stop becoming one of these terribly sad statistics.
Over on our Twitter today, we'll be keeping the conversation going, and inviting anyone who feels like they need to get something off their chest to message us. That's true of any time or any day with us, regardless of if it's at a walk, but if we can pledge to just one small thing to help highlight the importance of this day, hopefully others will too. Let's keep the conversation going fellas.
